Accountabilities / Responsibilities:Key Responsibilities:
- Data entry.
- Filing and organizing Medical Records.
- Answer phones.
- Organizing paperwork.
- Uploading files in a timely manner.
- Other business office and clinical functions as needed.
- Act as a liaison between patients, clinical or medical teammates.
- Maintains positive communications with the medical staff members and their office personnel.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks within established deadlines.
- Call pre-operative patients to collect health/medical history and verify they are a candidate.

- Maintain competencies to function in MA role within specific area.
- Ability to work flexible hours as needed and/or requested by Manager.
- Promote the mission, vision, and values of SCA.
- Comply with the SCA and facility policy and procedures.
- Notify the RN of any changes in patient’s status and responses.
- Demonstrate effective communication and collaboration skills with members of the team and other stakeholders.
- Act as a patient advocate and maintain privacy and confidentiality of individuals and health information.
- Comply with all SCA and facility policies and procedures, regulatory and accreditation standards and professional guidelines when providing patient care.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Successful completion of Basic Life Support (BLS) or Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) within 90 days of employment or documentation of current BLS/BCLS certification.
- High School Graduate or equivalent.
- One year of Medical Assistant / Nursing Assistant/ Patient Care Tech experience preferred.
- Certified Medical Assistant (MA)/Nursing Assistant (CNA)/Patient Care (PCT) preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
