About The Position
ID: 52213537 Shift: 8H Evenings 8H evenings 3p-11p Description: Unit Tele E100*Candidates with no Licensure or Background hits are only considered for this opening- # of beds: 48- Ratios: 1:5 days 1:5-6 Evenings, 1:6-7 Nights - Required certifications: BLS (AHA)- CPI training available- Common diagnoses/Types of patients: ETOH, drug abuse, pneumonia, COPD, CHF, DKA, homeless, Neuro/ spine, trauma, ortho, COVID. Central line dressing changes, wound vacs. They mix meds on this unit- will provide training. - Experience or 'Must have' skills: Tele background, Neuro/ spine- knowing precautions with moving and bracing. One year of expereince is a must. IV skills- they do not have an IV team. - Are RNs required to titrate drips?:Yes- Common titratable &/or set rate drips: Heparin, PCA, epidural. Other than heparin, if a drip needs titrated they will transfer (insulin, cardizem, Etc). - Charge Nurse/House Supervisor: There is a charge for all shifts. Will take a modified assignment if needed. - Are there nurse aids on this unit/Ratios: 5 on days, 5 on evenings and 4 night shift - RT Equipment (vents, Cpap, BiPap, etc): CPAP, Bipap , HFNC, Trachs. No vents. - Is there tele on this unit? Monitor Techs? RNs read strips?: RNs run strip beginning of the shift and every 4 hours. Need to be able to verify strips. Must be able to identify lethal arrhythmias- Shifts & Scheduling: 12 hours 7-7, 6 week self scheduling. Looking for someone that is flexible that can rotate days/nights. Would not be working different shifts in the same week or back to back. There would be time off between. - Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend- Sat/ Sunday for days and nights - Holiday Requirement: Would like flexibility in working holidays. Would not be every holiday. - Is there a call or standby requirement?: No- could be put on call for low census. - Floating Requirements: Can float to like units. Worked into premanent staff rotation for floating. - Scrub Color/Dress Code: Any color or design as long as it is not revealing and it looks professional. No dangling jewelry, long hair pulled back. - Unit/Department specific orientation: 2-3 shifts on the unit with a preceptor. 4 hours with the educator (wound vacs, PCAs, etc.) Cancellation Policy:3 shifts per 13 weeks Charting - Sunrise 6.1 BSN License to Trauma Level: Care Shift Notes:8H evenings 3p-11p Required Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week Contract Weeks:91
