Mechanical Piping Designer - ConsultNet

Job Title: Mechanical / Piping Designer
Location: Salt Lake City, UT
Duration: Contract 3-4+ Months
Pay range: $40-$60/hr DOE

Job responsibilities:
Create complex Mechanical and Piping 3D models and drawing packages of process piping systems, P&ID's and mechanical assemblies.
Use AutoCAD, inventor, AutoCAD Plant 3D or CadWorx software to prepare and/or revise drawings, sketches and layouts of multiple and single components.

Job Requirements:
Bachelor degree or Associates degree or Technical school training in Computer Aided Design and Computer Drafting.
10+ years of experience with AutoCAD, Inventor, Autodesk Plant 3D, Cadworx and any other 3D software.
Proficiency in 3D design.
Industrial plant layout experience.
Understanding of Piping & Instrument Diagram (P&ID's) for a process system.
Ability to read and comprehend piping drawings, specifications and construction drawings.
Knowledge of appropriate use of piping components and materials in industrial applications.
Ability to identify pipe components and symbols required to create piping drawings.
Experience with material take-offs, mechanical equipment lists, P&IDs, and PFDs
Experience with equipment layout design.
Experience with MSHA/OSHA safety regulations preferred.
