Mechanical Manager - IMEX USA - Florida East Coast Railway

Primary Manager of Maintenance of Equipment special projects associated with the maintenance of Intermodal equipment and Translift cranes. The Mechanica Manager will also supervise the operations and be responsable to coordinating the terminal operations to wnsure that the retention of service levels satisfies the customers' requirements

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

Oversees the development of Crane and Intermodal equipment procedures for performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and repair of the equipment.

Develop and implement the use of a maintenance records system (through use of an equipment maintenance management module on the mainframe computer system) to track periodic maintenance, running repairs, Cranes and Intermodal equipment servicing and overhauls.

             Train appropriate personnel in the daily use of these databases.

Developing managerial reports to optimize database reports.

Provide in-house training on Maintenance of Equipment software programs.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical engineering or 10 years related experience and/or training in all aspects of Cranes and Intermodal  Equipment.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as data associated with overhaul, periodic maintenance and supplier contracts.  Ability to evaluate technical information associated with Component parts engineering reports and analysis.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Must have moderate degree of computer skills in Windows operating systems; internet communications; and proficiently use Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel programs.  Must also have ability to learn and utilize skills necessary to optimize AS 400 modules and resources as well as other applicable software programs.

Must have Florida driver's license
