Salary: $90,000 - $110,000 per year

We are a vertically integrated operation that provides the Management, Engineering, Manufacturing (including Fabrication, Welding, Painting, Assembly and Testing), and Service functions which facilitate the production, installation and after sales support of standard and customized loading dock lift systems for client specific applications both within the USA and internationally. The staff of Superior, supplemented by various outside consultants, has 120+ years of experience in the design, manufacture, assembly and test of Speed-Lifts. No subcontractors are required in the manufacture of the American-made Speed-Lift loading dock lift system.

Our prestigious Legal firm is on a quest for a talented and experienced Mechanical Engineer who is passionate about creating innovative mechanical solutions. The ideal candidate should be an expert in conceptualizing, designing, and fabricating mechanical components. The role demands a dynamic professional who can work in a fast-paced environment, and can deliver high-quality work within strict deadlines.
Responsibilities:
1. Utilize SolidWorks, Auto Cad, AutoCAD 3D, and other CAD tools to design and draft mechanical components.
2. Develop, design, and test mechanical components and systems, including sub-assemblies and welding processes.
3. Produce detailed and accurate design specifications for mechanical equipment, dies/tools, and controls.
4. Evaluate mechanical systems and products by designing and conducting research programs and applying principles of mechanics, thermodynamics, hydraulics, heat transfer, and materials.
5. Collaborate with multi-disciplinary project teams to implement design concepts and ensure project completion within given timelines.
6. Validate designs with physical prototyping and testing.
7. Ensure designs meet legal requirements and safety regulations.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical design, machine design, CAD drafting, welding, controls, and sub-assemblies.
3. Proficient in SolidWorks, Auto Cad, AutoCAD 3D, and other mechanical design software.
4. Strong understanding of mechanical systems, manufacturing processes, and material properties.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills and an innovative approach to mechanical design.
6. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
7. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
8. Ability to work in a team and independently when required.
