Job Description

Mechanical engineers design power-producing machines, such as electric generators, internal combustion engines, and steam and gas turbines, as well as power-using machines, such as refrigeration and air-conditioning systems. Mechanical engineers design other machines inside buildings, such as elevators and escalators.

Mechanical Engineer

The Senior Mechanical Engineer is an individual looking to take on the challenges of performing a variety of Mechanical Engineering duties related to industrial facilities for projects large and small. This position involves experience in one or more of the following service areas: Chemical, Polymer, Refining, Utility. Experience in consulting engineering is a plus. Key Responsibilities: The Senior Mechanical Engineer has a variety of responsibilities including:

• Engineering/specification of mechanical equipment, including material handling equipment, pumps, pressure vessels, tanks, heat exchangers, and other process equipment

• Pipe stress analysis/pipe support design

• Lead Engineer for projects

• Interfaces with other engineering

Qualifications

Qualifications: Education/Experience:

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering degree

• A minimum fifteen years’ experience

• Experience in some or all of the areas of engineering mentioned above

Professional Engineering license a plus Eligibility Requirements:

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction

• Authorizes a background investigation, including verification of past employment, criminal history, and educational background

• Submits to a drug test post offer

• Possesses a valid driver’s license

• Accepts that this position may require some domestic overnight travel
