Job Details
1. Designing, developing, and testing of mechanical components, systems, and equipment, including hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
2. Utilizing AutoCAD and AutoCAD 3D to create detailed designs and blueprints for mechanical devices.
3. Interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports and converting them into workable plans.
4. Applying principles of mechanics, thermodynamics, hydraulics, heat transfer, and materials.
5. Collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams, and working with vendors and contractors.
6. Performing physical testing on engineering prototypes.
7. Ensuring designs meet legal guidelines, safety requirements and environmental directives.
8. Implementing DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and DFA (Design for Assembly) strategies.
9. Conducting research to inform the design and engineering methods required for the project.
10. Overseeing the manufacturing process for the device, including managing vendors and contractors, resolving issues that may arise during the production phase, and maintaining the project budget and timeline.
Qualifications:
1. A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
3. Proficient in AutoCAD, AutoCAD 3D, and other relevant design software.
4. Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
5. Thorough understanding of mechanical engineering concepts and principles.
6. Proven experience with CAD drafting, machine design, and blueprint interpretation.
7. Strong knowledge of DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and DFA (Design for Assembly).
8. Excellent problem-solving abilities and detail orientation.
9. Strong communication, interpersonal, and project management skills.
10. Ability to work in a team environment and lead projects.
