Job Title: Mechanical Engineer Intern

Location: Benicia, CA

Internship Overview:
PTS has an industrial client in Benicia is excited to offer a Mechanical Engineer Internship. This internship provides the opportunity to work under the mentorship of experienced engineers. This internship will provide you with the opportunity to engage in various task, from design to project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the design and development of pump manufacturing within oil and gas, power generation station, and municipal services.
• Assist designing engineering assembly drawings and parts drawings.
• Help identify issues, propose solutions, and contribute to improvement initiatives.
• Support the creation of manufacturing drawings and Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Manuals.
• Analyze engineering progress and offer insights for improvement.
• Work across various departments to gather necessary information and assist in problem resolution.
• Support various engineering tasks including calculations, design analysis, and simulations.
• Collaborate with engineering team to support ongoing projects, including product testing and validation.
• Help with the maintenance and organization of project documentation.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

• Currently pursuing degree in mechanical engineering.
• Familiarity with mechanical engineering principles and basic design practices.
• Experience with CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
