Job Summary
The Mechanical Drafter creates detailed technical drawings and schematics for mechanical components, products, and systems. They collaborate with engineers and designers to translate concepts into precise designs using CAD software, such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD. Responsibilities include preparing layouts, assembly instructions, and documentation, ensuring designs meet industry standards and specifications. Familiarity with materials, tolerances, and mechanical systems is essential for this role. This position is a critical part of a medical device development team responsible for the design, implementation and verification of an innovative medical imaging device.

Qualifications
- 5 years or greater experience drafting machined, casted, sheet metal, and/or plastic molded components.
- Expertise in utilizing SolidWorks for modeling complex 3D systems and drafting components.
- Strong understanding of GD&T as per ASME Y14.5
- Experience in generating and managing BOM structures, ECRs and documentation through a QMS
Key Responsibilities ( "Do”)
- Collaborate with Engineering and Quality team to capture design outputs for a Client medical device
- Develop and manage documentation including CAD models, fabrication drawing, procedures, BOMs, and specifications
Results Expected ( "Deliver”)
- Build and manage an accurate 3D CAD model of a Client and complex medical device.
- Generate and manage fabrication drawings for all elements of the medical device.
- Generate and manage specification documents.
- Generate and manage BOMs
- Manage all documents accurately in a QMS
