About the Job
Roles and responsibilities:
- Problem identification, requirement analysis, brainstorming, engineering problem solving for the products and systems.
- Design and detailing of components using metals, plastics, and ceramics as per relevant industry standards.
- Effective collaboration with internal team, stakeholders, and customers during various phases of the project execution.
- Working with complex sub-systems and components for new product development, upgradation, and modification of modules.
- Performing BOM management, configuration management and Engineering change management during the product life cycle.
- To perform hand calculations and FEA analysis for the structures, frames, modules, and components as needed.
- Selection of standard OEM components such as bearings, O-rings, gearbox, motors, pneumatic & electrical actuators, gas springs, etc.
- Preparation of technical documents such as manuals, instructions, reports, operation, and maintenance sheets, etc.
Requirements (Must have):
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in Mechanical Design and development.
- Worked on projects from input requirement to final product release (input gathering, concept design, detailed design, prototyping, testing and issue resolution).
- Should have hands on experience in CAD tools (CREO, SOLIDEDGE, CATIA)
- Design, develop and modify mechanical engineering layouts, schematics, detailed drawings, specifications of difficult scope.
- Design expertise in machined, sheet metal, weldments, and plastic parts.
- Selection of engineering materials and standard OEM parts based on the application.
- Good knowledge of GD&T and Tolerance stake-up.
- Experience working with 3D CAD, 2D drawings of complex assemblies and engineering documentation of products complying with industrial standards.
- Perform engineering analysis (FEA and calculations) of difficult scope with limited supervision.
- Good knowledge of manufacturing processes, change management processes and PLM tools.
- Engineering problem identification and troubleshooting a variety of mechanical problems with limited supervision.
- Experience working in Semiconductor equipment industry.
- Experience working closely with suppliers, stakeholders, and customers.
Requirements (Nice to have):
- Exposure to safety standards pertaining to Semiconductor equipment industry.
- Experience in vacuum technology, thermodynamics, process chambers, fluid dynamics, pneumatics, pumps, gauges, gas/liquid flow systems, industrial automation is an added advantage.
- Knowledge of Mechatronics, system integration, product ownership.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with global teams and stakeholders.
