Salary: $110,000 - $160,000 per year

Due to the nature of our project work, our Commissioning roles require 50-75% travel. Typically 2-3 weeks on, and 1 week off. All travel is fully covered from your home location anywhere in the US, Canada, or Mexico.

Exciting opportunity for a seasoned Mechanical Commissioning Engineer with a focus on Data Centers. The ideal candidate will be an innovative, detail-oriented, and results-driven professional, experienced in mechanical engineering, HVAC systems, and mechanical testing. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the mechanical systems of our data centers are designed, installed, and tested to meet the highest standards of efficiency and reliability. This position offers the opportunity to work on some of the most technologically advanced projects in the engineering industry, providing critical support to our clients in the data center sector.
LIVE ANYWHERE with 75% travel. Schedule is typically 2-3 weeks on, 1-2 weeks off.

Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement mechanical test schedules for data center equipment, ensuring all systems meet design specifications and performance standards.
2. Conduct thorough QA/QC and equipment inspections, identifying and resolving any issues to ensure optimal system performance.
3. Use your expertise in HVAC systems to optimize energy efficiency and system performance.
4. Develop and execute test scripts for mechanical systems, ensuring all components function as expected under various operational conditions.
5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure all mechanical systems integrate seamlessly with electrical and control systems.
6. Provide expert advice on the design and installation of HVAC and other mechanical systems, using your knowledge of building automation systems.
7. Conduct performance acceptance testing to ensure all systems meet the highest standards of reliability and efficiency.
8. Ensure all activities are conducted in compliance with OSHA and other relevant safety regulations.
9. Provide consulting services to clients, offering expert advice on system design, installation, testing, and maintenance.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
2. Minimum of 2 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a focus on data centers.
3. Expert knowledge of HVAC systems, including design, installation, and testing.
4. Proven experience conducting mechanical testing, including the development of test schedules and scripts.
5. Strong understanding of building automation systems.
6. Experience conducting QA/QC and equipment inspections.
7. Familiarity with performance acceptance testing.
8. Knowledge of OSHA and other relevant safety regulations.
9. Excellent problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to identify and resolve issues efficiently and effectively.
10. Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts in clear, understandable terms.
11. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
