Ideally, we seek a candidate who is a leader in the field and will assume a leadership role, with the opportunity to fill an endowed chair role with a research interest in birth equity or other research interests.
The Obstetrics and Gynecology group at Creighton University Medical Center includes academic generalists and sub-specialists in maternal fetal medicine and urogynecology. The department works closely with advanced practice providers and colleagues in neonatology, anesthesiology, other medical specialties, nursing, and ancillary staff.
The division of Maternal Fetal Medicine at CUMC is a consult-based practice that provides comprehensive services for all aspects of high-risk pregnancies. Deliveries are performed by the generalist group with 24-hour coverage of labor and delivery. The division is seeking new faculty to add to the development of an integrated, multidisciplinary, value-based approach to high-risk obstetric care. The newly developed division at CUMC aims to create a strong focus on research and education. The division provides prenatal diagnostic procedures, including amniocentesis and CVS, for the area healthcare networks. With plans to accommodate a growing patient population, the ultrasound unit contains five E10 machines with Viewpoint software fully integrated into Epic EMR. The department is fully staffed with a seasoned group of certified sonographers. Two dedicated genetic counselors are onsite, an integrated fetal center, and a cohesive team of 2 MFM physicians recruiting a third and fourth. Future goals for the division include establishing an ACGME-approved fellowship in Maternal Fetal Medicine and growing a robust research sector. Applicants will also be actively involved in medical student and resident educational activities. Qualified applicants can take on divisional, departmental, and institutional leadership positions.
Our growing team of providers supports a large referral base of OB/GYN physicians. Creighton University Medical Center is a Perinatal Center within the Nebraska Perinatal Network with service for over 2,500 deliveries annually. The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at CUMC has supported the role of perinatal network director through its Maternal Fetal Medicine division. It has maintained its reputation as an outstanding level III perinatal referral center for over 20 years. Candidates will have a faculty appointment commensurate with experience; CHI Health offers a competitive salary and benefits package.
