Seeking a 2nd shift (3 pm - 11 pm, Monday - Friday) Materials Team Leader to join our Team. This position will start January 2025.

Primary Duty:
Ensures proper handling and receiving of all chemicals and components into the facility and waste materials going out of the facility. Services production line with frames and components. In addition, directs and oversees the work of 3 forklift drivers on 2nd shift.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
Receives, offloads, labels and stores all incoming chemicals; maintains SDS sheets, receiving and usage logs.
Maintains chemical levels in day tanks; performs daily chemical inventory.
Measures and blends spray wax for use on production line.
Receives, unloads and unpacks all incoming shipments, packages, etc to the facility; verifies quantities received as necessary; delivers items to departments.
Oversees and provides guidance to forklift drivers on shift; interprets and enforces company policies and collective bargaining agreement.
Operates lift truck to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage or work area.
Delivers components, frames, chemicals and other supplies to production line.
Completes dock audits as required by customer.
Provides paperwork for outgoing shipments.
Maintains loading dock area, drum storage cage and obsolete tool storage area.
Performs WPS assignments as required - 5S, Kamishibai Audits, participates in Kaizen activities.
Consolidates and maintains waste chemicals; ensures proper storage and labeling.
Performs spill team duties as necessary.
May perform Xanathane Chemical Handler duties as required in their absence.
Frequently requires daily, weekend overtime; may be required to perform tasks on other shifts.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This role supervises the work activities of 3 forklift drivers, assigns duties, and collaborates with the Production Supervisor for disciplinary matters as necessary.

Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Must have prior forklift experience and pass internal certification process.
- Previous experience working in a warehouse, shipping role preferred.
Language Skills
- Ability to read basic words and numbers, recognize similarities/differences in words and numbers, print, and speak simple sentences.
Mathematical Skills
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide basic numbers, and work with American units of money, weight, volume, and distance.
Reasoning Ability
- Ability to apply common sense to follow simple one- or two-step instructions and work in standardized situations with limited variables.
Computer Skills
- Basic proficiency with inventory and spreadsheet software.
Other Skills and Requirements
- Must pass a post-employment physical for Spill Team duties and fit testing for respirator use, per OSHA requirements.
- Must complete DOT and Hazwoper training.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
While performing this role, the employee must:
- Regularly sit, climb, grip, and operate a foot-powered forklift.
- Occasionally push, pull, reach above and below the shoulder, throw, walk, bend, stoop, read, write, talk, and hear.
- Frequently lift or move up to 50 pounds.
- Meet specific vision requirements including distance vision, near vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
