We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Consulting Material Handler & Forklift Operator to join our team in the technology industry. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a fast-paced, growing organization that requires a strong commitment to excellence. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the efficient movement and storage of goods, ensuring that the right products are delivered to the right location on time and at a good cost. This role also involves maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring a safe working environment. If you are a self-starter who thrives in a challenging, high-energy environment, this may be the perfect opportunity for you.
Responsibilities:
1. Operate forklifts to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise in a safe and efficient manner.
2. Maintain inventory control by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data storage system.
3. Ensure all received shipments are correct by comparing bills of materials (BOM) against purchase orders and packing slips.
4. Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule (load, pack, wrap, label, ship).
5. Report any discrepancies or damages in the shipment to management immediately.
6. Adhere to all warehousing, handling, and shipping legislation requirements.
7. Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene, and security in the work environment.
8. Collaborate with team members to improve efficiency and overall job performance.
9. Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety and in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.

Qualifications:
- 1-3 years' experience as a Material Handler, Forklift Operator, or similar role within a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
- Minimum High School diploma or equivalent
- Proficient in operating forklifts and other warehouse machinery.
- Experience with Bills of Materials, shipping & receiving, and inventory control.
- Ability to read, understand all documentation including Work Orders, Bill of Materials, Sales Orders (Picking Lists), and Special Instructions
- Ability to multitask and maintain high level of accuracy
- Familiarity with electronic handheld devices
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Familiarity with planning, scheduling, and inventory control software packages
- Excellent organizational skills –takes initiative and can work with a sense of urgency
- Ability to operate forklift equipment safely – experience preferred
