The Material Handler/Truck Driver is responsible to provide material handling services and truck driver for delivery as needed. They also provide material handling and warehouse maintenance services to the production operation. Assis in tracking jobs, inventories, supplies, equipment, and weight of recycling materials. Prepare any shipping materials as required by customer using one of the following methods: a tucking service, FedEx, UPS or the Bridgeway delivery program. - Safely operates small machinery and drive a forklift.
- Operates company vehicles in a safe an efficient manner to pick up and deliver customers goods.
- Sorts and/or organizes incoming goods and verify counts, making sure each container is clearly marked as to contents. Report any problems and forward paperwork to the production manager on designee.
- Keeps accurate track of inventories/finishes goods counts and prepare goods for shipment. Move/put away materials and supplies in proper locations as directed by the Production Manager or designee.
- Accurately prepares materials and documents for shipment.
- Maintains warehouse in a neat and orderly fashion including removal of waste materials from production areas to warehouse, sorting to corrugate baler and trash compactor. Clean all main shop aisles and storage areas, including, racks shelves and customer goods.
- Picks and prepares customer jobs for production. Serve as a positive role model, demonstrating consideration for others and responsibility towards assigned duties.
Our requirements are that you have a high school diploma or GED. We prefer you to have material handling experience along with 2 years of experience in a warehouse setting. Must have reliable transportation. You must have a valid driver license and a CDL if operation of semi, valid insurance card and also a current medical card. Employment with Bridgeway is conditional upon completion of all background checks.
