Performs a variety of dutiesrelated to the process of Receiving, Put-away and Replenishment of product toinclude direct and wholesaler products as well as supplies of inventory.Conducts blind receipts using RF Devices or computer work stations for data entry.Inspects and stocks pharmaceutical products in accordance with approved companypolicy and procedures. The Handler I Material works closely with InventoryCoordinators to resolve inventory discrepancies. They ensure warehouse storagespace is effectively utilized. Responsible for accepting inventory fromsuppliers/repack and loading, unloading, moving and storage of materials withinthe pharmacy. To include reading work orders, following oral instructions,counting and recording units of materials on daily production sheets, andattaching tags/labels to materials and/or containers. Maintains a clean, safework area.
Must be able to read and writecorrespondence and complete assigned inventory reports. Ability to lift and/ormove up to 40 pounds required. Must have the ability to handle multiple tasksand meet the deadlines when required to do so. Ability to read and interpretdepartmental documents such as receiving documents, purchase orders, cyclecount sheets, procedural manuals, SOP\'s, and OSHA signs posted throughout thework area. Ability to foster open communication. Ability to accuratelycalculate figures, amounts, and percentages for the purpose of reportinginventory audit results, and vendor/receiving issues. Experience in loading andunloading of trucks using both hands. Ability to utilize a computerizedinventory system is desired, specifically, to perform routine data entryfunctions. Good communication skills are required. Required to stand/or sitduring long periods of time, use hands and fingers to utilize a computerkeyboard, operate pharmacy equipment. Will also makes simple adjustments orrepairs such as realigning belts or replacing rollers on pharmacy equipment.
Duties
Perform required duties whileoperating equipment in a safe and reasonable manner.
Responsible for the timelyretrieval of replenishment merchandise in Reserve locations.
Retrieve cases listed on RFUnit from Random locations, record check digit and deposit pallets correctly indesignated staging area for daily replenishment.
Perform preliminary safetycheck of assigned equipment prior to daily operation and record/report anyproblems or defects to Supervisor.
Notify Supervisor or equipmentmechanic if equipment becomes inoperable or a safety issue.
Complete and submit dailyworksheet summarizing Indirect Activities performed.
Perform other duties asrequired by Supervisor/Management.
Experience
Skills:
Good written and verbalcommunication skills.
Ability to read, write, andcount accurately.
Ability to operate (to heightof 50 feet) and be certified as an Operator powered equipment.
Normal eyesight (natural orcorrected).
Physical Demands:
This job has a Constant mediumheavy lifting requirement of 67 100% up to 15 lbs. Other physical activitiesinclude Constant bending/reaching/stooping; Constant walking/standing/ reaching67- 100% of time.
Work Environment:
Warehouse environment, whichincludes seasonal temperature changes, rolling equipment and conveyors.
Position Summary
Responsible for pullingreplenishments by picking individual cases utilizing wire-guided powerequipment and an RF unit.
