2 overnight shift openings - working the following schedules (overnight shift does not need to train on first shift but may need to attend Orientation on first shift for the first week).
• 1 contract worker: SUN – WED 8p.m. – 7a.m
• 1 contract worker: WED – SAT 8p.m. – 7a.m
4 positions 1st shift will be trained MON – FRI 8am – 5pm, but will eventually be moved to:
• SUN – WED 8am – 5pm
• WED – SAT 8am – 5pm
PAY:
1st shift - $22/hr
Overnight Shifts - $23/hr
*Ideal candidates will have Pharma experience, SAP experience, knowledge of warehouse logistics
Location: Houston (100% on-site)

Reports to: Warehouse Supervisor / Inventory Manager
Job Overview:
The Material Handler will support critical warehouse activities, including performing inventory counts, putting away materials from goods receipt into final storage locations, replenishing materials, and assisting in warehouse redesign initiatives. This role will also involve supporting manufacturing with ad hoc material delivery requests, ensuring accurate transaction recording, and communicating potential inventory issues to prevent stock-outs. The ideal candidate will work closely with the Warehouse, Inventory and Replenishment Leads to ensure efficient warehouse operations and timely material availability for production.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform Inventory Counts:
o Conduct regular physical inventory counts to ensure inventory accuracy
o Compare physical counts with system data and report discrepancies to the Replenishment Lead or Inventory Manager
o Assist in cycle counting and annual stock-taking processes
o Support the investigation and resolution of inventory discrepancies as needed
• Put Away Materials from Goods Receipt:
o Verify incoming materials are correctly labeled and transferred to plastic totes
o Transfer materials from the receiving area to their final storage locations according to warehouse protocols
o Follow storage guidelines and ensure proper organization and safety measures are followed
• Replenish Materials:
o Monitor material levels and ensure that production support team and manufacturing are consistently supplied with the necessary materials based on the production schedule
o Transfer materials from storage locations to production as required
o Ensure proper material rotation (e.g., FIFO—First In, First Out) to maintain inventory integrity
• Support Implementation of Warehouse Improvement Initiatives
o Assist with the execution of warehouse improvement tasks under the guidance of the Warehouse Supervisor
o Implement layout changes, relocate materials, and reorganize storage areas to optimize warehouse space and efficiency
o Ensure changes are documented and communicated to relevant team members
• Support Ad Hoc Material Delivery Requests from Manufacturing:
o Respond promptly to unscheduled or urgent material delivery requests from manufacturing
o Ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials to the production area to avoid any disruptions in manufacturing activities
• Ensure Transactions Are Performed as Per Guidance:
o Record all inventory movements (receiving, put-away, replenishment, and shipping) accurately in the warehouse management system (WMS)
o Ensure transactions are performed in compliance with company policies and procedures
o Collaborate with the Inventory Manager to address any system-related issues or discrepancies in transactions
• Support the Replenishment Lead:
o Communicate any inventory discrepancies immediately to the Replenishment Lead and escalate any potential stock-out risks
o Assist in resolving inventory issues, including suggesting corrective actions to prevent future discrepancies
o Collaborate with the Replenishment Lead to ensure materials are replenished efficiently and on time to meet production demands
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience in warehouse operations or inventory management is preferred
• Experience with material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) is a plus
• Familiarity with inventory management systems (e.g., ERP or WMS software) is preferred
• Strong attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy in inventory counts and material handling
• Basic computer skills for data entry and inventory tracking
• Ability to lift and move materials, as required
Skills and Attributes:
• Attention to Detail: Ability to perform inventory counts and transactions accurately, ensuring materials are handled and recorded correctly
• Organizational Skills: Strong ability to efficiently organize and store materials while supporting improvement initiatives
