The Marketing Specialist plays a critical role working across external product brands, internal Starboard and OBM teams, as well as shipboard operations in the successful development and implementation of product brand marketing campaigns and initiatives. The Marketing Specialist coordinates the process for all product brand marketing projects from conceptualization through production and implementation.
What you’ll be doing::ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Liaison with Product Brands to plan and execute campaigns and initiatives:
- Coordinate and execution management of all brand Co-op marketing plans. Tactics include:
- Personalized environments
- Event marketing
- Windows
- Duratrans
- Digital media
- Television
- Other special projects
- Develop and execute both new and existing brand experiences; develop strong internal and external cross functional partnership for – guidelines, approvals, etc.
- Execute in-shop personalization projects for key brands to ensure environments are elevated and on brand
- Document and maintain available out of home marketing spaces based in inventory and current contracts
- Co-create media kits and brand presentations, showcasing yearly marketing opportunities
- Collect and organize all necessary brand creative to execute the various multi-media touchpoints, opening jobs in project management tool to request execution
- Build and maintain a strong working relationship with the vendor community and ensure we’re executing all assigned contracted deliverables and meeting brand standards
Internal coordination across teams (Creative, Production, Merchants, CLR/Shipboard):
- Develop strong, collaborative relationships across the organization to ensure marketing initiatives are approved and completed on-time
- Create and manage database for all contracted marketing deliverables and provide proof of execution to brand partners upon completion
- Work closely with the design, video and production teams to ensure all contracted deliverables are executed and ensure proofs are provided to each brand prior to production.
- Liaise with shipboard teams to request and verify marketing specs (when needed) as well as proof of execution
- Build and manage ship communications between marketing and ships
- Collaborates with production and Starboard Distribution center on marketing delivery dates and confirmation of delivery
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in the field of marketing and/or 5 years equivalent work experience
- Certifications in communications, public relations
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Familiarity with the fundamental principles of marketing and brand building
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills
- Fluent English verbal and written language skills
- Ability to absorb and retain information quickly
- Ability to present ideas in easily understood not technical language

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
Some flexibility in hours is permitted, employee must be available during the “core” work hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday – Friday and must work 30 hours each week to maintain full-time status. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Physical Demands:
Office environment with frequent sitting, walking and standing, occasional climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching and balancing. Frequent use of eye, hand and finger coordination enabling use of office machinery. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds. Oral and auditory enabling interpersonal communication as well as communication automated devise such as the telephone.
