Overview:The marketing manager is a motivated and creative team member who drives the development and execution of the marketing strategy for Avison Young’s Philadelphia operations. Primary responsibilities include new business development, brand elevation, and property marketing support. The marketing manager is also the team manager, providing strategy, team mentoring, coordination, and communications for all Philadelphia marketing staff. While the person in this role is dedicated to Philadelphia, he or she will also be part of the East region marketing team which spans multiple markets and states across the Eastern United States.
Responsibilities:- Focus on sales support activities. This includes the development and execution of all marketing materials for new business to include collateral development, lead generation campaigns, pitches, and proposals. End products should reflect Avison Young’s unique differentiators, competitive advantage and surpass stakeholder expectations.
- Perform as the ‘knowledge hub’ for Avison Young’s Philadephia regional service lines and subject matter experts ensuring marketing efforts are coordinated, consistent, and relevant to the individual industries, markets, and the firm.
- Work in a dynamic team environment and build and execute on multi-channel marketing plans for Avison Young brokers and their clients.
- Drive collaboration with Avison Young’s Market Intelligence team to deliver data-driven marketing deliverables, thought leadership and campaigns to elevate our brand in the market.
- Provide art direction and production support, by creating and/or coordinating all marketing collateral using Adobe Creative Cloud, including print brochures, email blasts, websites, advertisement, pitches, proposals, and marketing deliverables.
- As needed, art direct and coordinate the creation of high-technology marketing deliverables, including videos, drones, AR/VR, apps, with third-party vendors.
- Participate in client presentations, pitches and meetings, as a representative of Avison Young’s marketing team, its differentiated capabilities and creative solutions.
- Develop strategy for Avison Young’s digital and web presence in concert with the regional strategy, and in alignment with the national digital marketing team. Identify ways to expand Avison Young’s online presence through website, social media and email marketing strategies.
- Organize, coordinate, and manage in-person and virtual events, webinars to promote the company’s services, engage with clients and other stakeholders.
- Ensure strict adherence to the Avison Young brand and visual identity, with quality control processes to produce professional work product, on time and within budget.
- Build strong relationships across Avison Young’s organization to leverage its extensive marketing and creative resources, research teams, brokerage administrative staff, and business unit leadership across the regional and national platform.
- Can understand how to take a project from concept to execution with minimal guidance
- Can manage stakeholder relationships with minimal intervention from a supervisor
- Can manage a team and coordinate workflow across multiple disciplines
- Establishes processes and continually seeks to improve ways to complete tasks
- Knowledge of technology and digital platforms, with a future-focused mindset to continually learn
- Orchestrates projects by knowing who to collaborate with across the region and firm, can assign tasks to others while maintaining accountability for the final result
- Is the driving force behind the success of marketing campaigns
- Strong project management and process management skills
- Comfortable with ambiguity
- Uses a broad range of marketing tactics and concepts, thinks creatively and devises new approaches to meet business goals
- Interacts closely with key stakeholders
Other Qualifications/skills:
- Intermediate level Adobe Creative Suite skills (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
- Excellent writing, editing, verbal communication and presentation skills
- Strong creative skills, and ability to provide art direction
- Understanding of and commitment to client service
- Ability to work effectively in teams and be committed to the idea of do whatever it takes
- Ability to juggle multiple projects
- Six to eight years of related experience
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in marketing, design, communication or journalism
- Commercial Real Estate experience or working in a corporate environment is a plus
