The Marketing and Event Management Associate is responsible for supporting the marketing team in promoting the company's brand, products, and services through various marketing strategies and executing engaging events. The role combines a strong understanding of marketing principles with the ability to plan, coordinate, and manage events that drive brand awareness, customer engagement, and business growth. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a creative mindset, and a strong attention to detail.
Responsibilities as a Marketing and Event Management Associate:
- Marketing Campaign Support: Assist in the creation, execution, and analysis of marketing campaigns, including digital, social media, email, and traditional media, to promote events and enhance brand visibility.
- Content Creation & Management: Develop engaging content for marketing materials, including social media posts, event invitations, email newsletters, and website content related to events and promotions.
- Event Planning & Coordination: Plan and organize events, both in-person and virtual, including trade shows, product launches, webinars, conferences, and client-facing activities. Tasks include venue selection, scheduling, vendor coordination, and logistics management.
- Vendor Management: Liaise with third-party vendors, suppliers, and contractors to ensure event materials, decorations, food and beverage, and technical requirements are delivered on time and within budget.
- Event Promotion: Develop and execute strategies to drive attendance and engagement for events through targeted marketing campaigns, social media, email marketing, and partnerships.
- On-Site Event Support: Coordinate and oversee day-of event activities, ensuring smooth execution, troubleshooting any issues, and providing support to attendees and event staff.
- Market Research: Conduct research on industry trends, target audience preferences, and competitor events to identify opportunities for creating innovative event experiences.
- Analytics & Reporting: Track and analyze event performance metrics (e.g., attendance, engagement, ROI) and marketing campaign results to assess effectiveness and provide recommendations for future improvements.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing, sales, and product teams to align event objectives with company goals and ensure cohesive messaging and branding across all platforms and materials.
- Budget Management: Assist in preparing event budgets, monitor expenses, and ensure that all events are delivered within the allocated budget.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, Event Management, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 1-3 years of experience in marketing, event planning, or related fields.
- Proven experience in organizing, coordinating, and executing successful events, both virtual and in-person.
- Familiarity with digital marketing strategies, including social media marketing, email campaigns, and content creation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Analytics, social media platforms, event management software, and basic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to develop marketing content, interact with clients and vendors, and manage event logistics.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues promptly, especially during events.
- High attention to detail, particularly in event planning, marketing content creation, and logistics management.
Desirable:
- Experience with event management software (e.g., Cvent, Eventbrite).
- Knowledge of marketing automation tools (e.g., HubSpot, Mailchimp).
- Experience in managing budgets and financial planning for events.
- Familiarity with SEO, SEM, and other digital marketing strategies.
