Arrowhead Talent Solutions is helping a manufacturing company find a Manufacturing Operations Manager in the Brea, CA area. A general overview of the role can be found below.

Duties:

• Run a safe, injury/accident-free workplace.
• Responsible for daily management and leadership of all resources assigned. Typical responsibilities include: Schedule adherence, productivity, personnel development, time and attendance, training and establishing/monitoring departmental goals.
• Creates a departmental cross training matrix and mentors assigned personnel.
• Deploys team members to both strategically and tactically engage in cross functional problem solving to improve production efficiencies and product quality.
• Ensures the organization accomplishes Safety, Quality, Schedule, and Cost performance objectives. When misses occur, develops a credible recovery plan with team.
• Review daily demand, production capacity and constraints, optimize production schedules, and manage the workflow through shop.
• Manage Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) and other reporting on daily basis to drive performance in all assigned areas.
• Champion and initiate Continuous Improvement (CI) projects to increase efficiency, productivity and machine utilization while reducing overall cost.
• Direct and coordinate manufacturing activities based on policies, company objectives and programs spanning multiple manufacturing functions.
• Coordinate with Supply Chain for procurement or required tools and MRO, and planning delivery schedules to meet delivery schedules, quality standards while reducing overall lead time and cost.
• Coordinate with Engineering and Quality Control to determine cause of rejected product and to resolve discrepancies in manufacture process.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Operations Management, or a combination of appropriate related work experience and education/training.
• Extensive experience with CNC equipment, programming, tooling and fixturing.
• 6+ years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience and responsibility. Aerospace and/or Automotive experience preferred.
• Proven track record of driving results in a high volume, high mix Machining environment.
• Expert ability to read and interpret blueprints, methods of manufacturing, machine code, tabular data and other related technical documentation.
