The Manufacturing Engineer-Weld position will act as the main point of contact for all weld processes and production support. Working collaboratively with cross functional teams, the ME-Weld, will be responsible for continuously improving the welding processes in safety, quality, delivery, and cost. This role will support all welding applications and provide technical expertise in a hands-on environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :
· Act as the point of contact for all weld processes and production support (MIG, TIG, Robotics)
· Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to continuously improve the welding processes in safety, quality, delivery and cost
· Support all welding applications and provide technical expertise
· Identify, evaluate, and implement new weld technology, equipment and processes
· Define, document, and control weld process and procedures
· Train, coach, and mentor cross-functional teams for consistent weld processing
· Design, build, test, and implement production tooling where necessary
· Assist cross-functional teams for new model launch
· Assist in the day-to-day resolution of weld problems arising on the production floor
· Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or related field desired, or equivalent qualification or a combination of job-related education
· Lean manufacturing experience preferred
· Read, interpret, create production documentation
· Proficient with fabrication and welding equipment
· Proficient with Office, CAD, SolidWorks
· Results-oriented and self-driven
· Strong leadership and training abilities
· Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
· Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision
· Ability to lift/manipulate 40lbs, large components, tools throughout the day is preferred
