Job Summary: The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining methods, processes, and costs in support of the company's customers and employees. This role involves working closely with department supervisors to foster continuous improvement, lean principles, and best practices.

Responsibilities:

• Support manufacturing with a disciplined approach to problem-solving, including fishbone diagrams, 6s, value stream mapping, and job safety analysis.
• Provide effective leadership by challenging deployed processes and inspiring a shared vision.
• Utilize an understanding of current and potential process capabilities and process control limits to improve quality and assess incoming work.
• Support and document continuous improvement opportunities to reduce cycle times and minimize scrap and waste.
• Develop financial justifications for capital equipment and process changes.
• Design and carry out time studies, method analysis, and other work measurement activities.
• Demonstrate the use of computer simulations of processes and provide input for production improvements.
• Serve as a technical resource, provide expert assistance, and deliver on-the-job training to employees.
• Meet key performance measures for safety, quality, cost, productivity, and timely completion of customer orders.
• Create, update, and maintain routings, work instructions, and blueprints to meet customer specifications.
• Work across all three plants/shifts to maintain support for projects/production.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing engineering/technology or a related degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 2-3 years of related experience in manufacturing and/or metals industry.
• Experience in project management, applying industrial engineering methods, and technical applications of manufacturing practices.
• Proficient knowledge of SolidWorks or other CAD/CAM software and Geometrical Tolerance specification/application.
• Ability to communicate technical issues to internal departments, external vendors, and customers.
• Demonstrate mathematical and mechanical skills.
• Experience using Microsoft Excel, Word, Project, and PowerPoint.

Non-Negotiable Requirements:

• Minimum 2-3 years of related experience in manufacturing and/or metals industry.

• Advertised Salary Range: $75,000 - $80,000 Per Year.
