Job Overview:
Responsibilities:
- Full-Project Involvement:Engage in every stage of the project, from design and prototyping to mass production and sustaining
- Design Feedback:Review designs and provide feedback on manufacturability to ensure smooth production transitions
- Contract Manufacturer (CM) Collaboration: Work closely with CMs to establish build readiness, including designing, reviewing, and implementing production fixtures
- Managing BOMs and PLM systems
- Serve as the primary technical point of contact for CMs to drive project progress
- Investigate and root-cause problems, driving fixes back to engineering teams or CMs
- Process Improvement: Learn from past projects and proactively refine manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency and quality across all projects
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experiencein Manufacturing Product, Process, or NPI Engineering within networking equipment manufacturing environments
- Strong expertisein DFx principles (DFM, DFA, DFT, DFQ, DFR), production fixturing, inspection processes, manufacturing quality control, ECO, BOM, and deviation processes (Agile experience is a plus)
- Working knowledge of manufacturing processes, such as SMT profiles, CNC machining, injection molding, sheet metal production, coating technologies, finishing operations, packaging materials, and processes
- Ability to investigate and evaluate new technologies, setting technical direction to stay ahead of industry advancements
- Proficiency in using lab equipment and tools for troubleshooting and validation
- Willingness to travelas needed to support global manufacturing operations
