Eleven Recruiting is searching for a Manufacturing Engineer to join one of our largest aerospace manufacturing clients sitting onsite onsite in Los Alamitos CA. The Manufacturing Engineer II is pivotal in evaluating, developing, planning, coordinating, directing, and enhancing manufacturing processes. This role is critical in driving manufacturing process development and improvement, working cross-functionally within all departments with a strong emphasis on tooling, equipment upgrades, and special projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in aerospace manufacturing processes, such as assembly, welding, machining, forming, cleaning, and inspection, including NDT, as well as working with aerospace materials like stainless steel, nickel, titanium, aluminum, and tool steels.

- Strategically plan and execute complex manufacturing engineering assignments across diverse production lines to ensure optimal manufacturing of Company products.
- Spearhead product and process development and design reviews; approve all engineering drawings, ensuring seamless transition into production. Provide expert advice on methods, materials, and equipment application.
- Collaborate with tool engineering on planning, design, construction, procurement, validation, and release of tooling.
- Drive and oversee projects throughout all production phases.
- Conduct thorough failure analysis in collaboration with relevant personnel. Act as a crucial liaison between supervisors and other departments, creating corrective action plans when needed.
- Critically review and approve engineering drawings and documentation before release to manufacturing, ensuring adherence to manufacturing concepts and established practices.
- Investigate and approve design and process change requests. Participate actively in the review and dispositioning of non-conforming materials.
- Champion and engage in Lean Manufacturing activities, including 6S and Kaizen events.

- Must possess an Engineering Bachelor's degree.
- Preferably with aerospace industry experience.
- 3+ years of Manufacturing Engineering experience in aerospace manufacturing or a related sector.
- Expert in interpreting complex engineering, tool, and equipment drawings.
- Exceptional math and analytical skills.
- In-depth understanding of metallurgical properties of metals used in aerospace.
- Extensive experience in aerospace manufacturing processes, including assembly, welding, machining, forming, cleaning, and inspection, including NDT.
- Profound experience with aerospace materials such as stainless steel, nickel, titanium, aluminum, and tool steels.
- Strong background in metalwork.
- Proficient with AS 400 MRP system.
- Extensive experience with manufacturing routers and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Thorough knowledge of Mil Specs.
