Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Develop mechanical manufacturing process plans utilizing technical data packages, sketches, and CAD files
• Generate bill of materials to be used for material estimates
• Assist production control with defining manufacturing routing sequence
• Perform task analysis and labor estimates for all mechanical product realization activities
• Analyze potential efforts to ensure in house machine tool capability is adequate for success
• Work with CNC programmers, machinist, quality, and production control to capture special tooling needs
• Collaborate with CNC programmers to define work holding plans so fixture cost are incorporated into estimates
• Assist leadership with Make/Buy decisions
• Communicate and coordinate drawing changes with internal and external customers
• Work with purchasing to address questions from vendors performing outside processes and/or machining/fabrication

What We Are Looking For:

• Expert in CNC milling and turning applications
• Must have a minimum of 10 years CNC turning and milling experience to include 3, 4, and 5 axis.
• Familiar with sheet metal fabrication operations
• Familiar with welding operations and their associated qualifications
• Must be able to interpret drawings, MIL-STDs, welding specifications, and application specifications
• 5 years of experience preparing estimates for machine shop operations
• Effective problem-solver
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Experience operating in a AS9100 environment

What Would Set You Apart:

• 5 Years of experience developing CNC programs utilizing CAD/CAM software
• Experience utilizing ERP/MRP software
• Experience quoting paint and finishing processes

Your Education/Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
