Job Description:
As a Manufacturing Development Engineer I, you will be involved in the design, development, and improvement of manufacturing processes and systems to enhance productivity, quality, and efficiency. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support manufacturing operations and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Functions:

Participate in the design and development of manufacturing processes, methods, and systems to meet production goals and quality standards.
Collaborate with product design teams to ensure manufacturability and scalability of new products, providing input and recommendations for process improvements.
Conduct feasibility studies and analyses to evaluate manufacturing processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement cost-effective solutions.
Assist in the implementation of new manufacturing technologies, equipment, and automation systems to improve efficiency and reduce cycle times.
Support manufacturing operations by troubleshooting process issues, conducting root cause analyses, and implementing corrective actions.
Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation, including process instructions, work procedures, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Participate in cross-functional teams to support new product introductions (NPI) and ensure smooth transition to production.
Required Qualifications:

Bachelor s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
1-3 years of experience in manufacturing engineering or a related role.
Knowledge of manufacturing processes, techniques, and principles.
Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and manufacturing software/tools.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop innovative solutions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills:

Experience with lean manufacturing principles and methodologies (e.g., Kaizen, 5S, Value Stream Mapping).
Familiarity with statistical analysis tools and methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, DOE).
Knowledge of manufacturing quality standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100).
Experience with manufacturing process simulation software (e.g., Simul8, Arena).
Certification or training in manufacturing engineering or related fields.
