Job Summary and Qualifications
The Manager of Patient Relations is responsible for planning, organizing, coordinating and managing all functions of the Guest Services and Volunteer departments in order to meet the stated mission, vision and values of Medical City Plano. It is expected that the Manager will effectively operate the department, continue the improvement of the department's processes and outcomes, comply with hospital and corporate policy and procedures, efficiently manage finances and resources, promote teamwork and customer satisfaction, and integrate the department services into the organization's overall plan for the delivery of care and service.
- Manages the volunteer program, including the interview and selection process, conducting new volunteer orientation, annual training and maintenance of volunteer job descriptions and competencies.
- Conducts service excellence orientation for new employees and volunteers.
- Will serve as a member of the Service Excellence Committee.
- Will serve as the Equity Compliance Coordinator for ADA compliance.
- Will coordinate/integrate department services within the hospital’s primary function.
- Develops and implements policies and procedures that guide and support the provision of services.
- Recommends a sufficient number of qualified and competent staff to provide department services in support of provision of services.
- Continuously assesses and improves department’s performance.
- Maintains and implements quality control programs.
- Provides for the orientation, in-service training and continuing education of staff.
- Utilizes methods to grow business through department services and affiliated programs.
- Serves as facility liaison with the Hospital Gift Shop.
What qualifications you will need:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree required or in process of obtaining.
Experience:
- Minimum of five 5 healthcare management & customer relations experience or comparable leadership background.
