Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis - Aquinas Consulting

Aquinas Consulting is currently looking to fill a Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis job for our direct client. In this role, you will lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis processes to support business planning and decision-making. You will work closely with operations teams to identify cost savings opportunities, analyze financial performance, and provide actionable insights to senior management.

Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis Job Responsibilities:

• Lead the annual budgeting and monthly forecasting processes, aligning with the company’s strategic goals.
• Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop non-financial reporting metrics to drive operational efficiencies.
• Build and maintain complex financial models for business planning and decision-making.
• Work with operations partners to identify and track cost savings opportunities.
• Perform variance analysis (actual vs. forecast or forecast vs. forecast) and manage the capex process, including ROI analysis and tracking of expenditures.
• Manage accruals and prepaids and analyze financial performance to identify trends and provide insights.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance (MBA or CPA preferred).
• 5-10 years of progressive experience in accounting and financial planning and analysis.
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
• Experience with Oracle or similar ERP systems and BI tools in a medium to large enterprise.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with experience influencing senior leaders.
• Proven ability to drive operational improvements and efficiencies.
• Telecommunications, marine, or technical experience preferred; government accounting and contracting experience a plus.
