We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Manager of Cost Accounting to join our finance team. Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the overall operations of the cost accounting department.
- Develop and implement cost accounting policies and procedures in line with the company's financial objectives.
- Analyze and report on manufacturing costs, cost overhead, standard costing, labor and overhead rates, and inventory valuation.
- Use SAP system to manage and analyze financial data.
- Collaborate with other departments to provide financial guidance and support.
- Prepare and present financial reports to senior management, highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the cost accounting team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- Participate in the budgeting process, providing input on cost control and savings opportunities.
- Work with internal and external auditors to ensure a smooth audit process.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A Master's degree or CPA is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in cost accounting, preferably in the manufacturing sector.
- Proficiency in SAP or similar ERP systems.
- Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles and practices, including manufacturing costs, cost overhead, standard costing, labor and overhead rates, and inventory valuation.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
- Demonstrated ability to drive change and improve processes.
