About the Job
The Manager, Training and Development will be responsible for operational management of Acuity’s learning and development programs, ensuring the cultivation of skills and knowledge crucial for individual and organizational success.
This individual will serve as a partner to the business for learning and development, fostering a culture of continuous learning, growth mindset and knowledge sharing culture. The ideal candidate is passionate about helping people learn and grow, and supporting Acuity’s highly effective learning and development programs.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Content Creation: Develop engaging and impactful training materials, including presentations, modules, workshops, manuals, resources, and e-learning modules, leveraging the latest learning technologies.
Learning Delivery: Oversee the delivery of learning programs (Lunch, Learn, Leads; Supervisor Alignment Training) through diverse mediums such as workshops, e-learning, instructor-led sessions, and more, ensuring engagement and effectiveness.
Program Management: Administer the Icon employee recognition program. Lead monthly verifier meetings, track program data, review program requirements and policies each year, communicate program announcements and updates.
Facilitation: Facilitate strategic planning, goal-setting, and brainstorming sessions for various internal stakeholder groups.
Evaluation and Improvement: Establish metrics to evaluate the success of learning initiatives and continuously improve programs based on feedback and analysis.
Collaboration: Partner with department heads, HR, and senior management to identify learning needs and develop solutions that address skill gaps and foster a culture of learning.
Vendor Management: Manage Acuity’s partnerships with Udemy Business and Educate360.
Technology Integration: Leverage technology to enhance learning experiences, exploring and implementing new learning management systems or tools.
Compliance and Ethics: Ensure that all learning programs comply with industry regulations and ethical standards.
Qualifications:Competencies Expected:
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills, specifically related to training and presenting
- Solid organizational and time management skills specifically relating to completion of appropriate follow through and status updates of effected parties.
- Ability to maintain confidential information.
- Attention to detail and accuracy of information.
- Must be reliable and dependable, able to follow directions and work independently.
- Ability to successfully multi-task and set priorities.
- Ability to analyze survey and evaluation data to build reports and make recommendations.
- Ability to adapt to adapt to changing priorities with flexibility and creativity.
- Capable of interacting with all levels of external and internal professionals while developing strong productive relationships.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Education, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
- 5 years of experience in learning and development, preferably in a managerial or leadership role.
- Proven track record in designing and implementing successful learning strategies and programs.
- Familiarity with adult learning principles and various training methods.
- Strong program management skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
