The Position

Proactively provides on-going analytics support through data driven insight generation to support future pipeline therapeutic areas in the US, such as Alzheimer's Disease, Chronic Kidney Disease, Cardiovascular Disease, MASH, and others.

Conducts in-depth data mining and analytics in support of gaining quantitative market insights in support of, but not limited to market shaping efforts in these new disease areas. Utilizes and manages key data mining and analytics tool sets to support business planning efforts. Develops evidence-based communications materials including slides, reports and dashboards reflecting clear and concise conclusions and recommendations for key stakeholders. Works in a fast-paced environment.

Relationships

This position will report to the Associate Director, Market Intelligence within the US Strategic Market Intelligence group. Working relationships with pipeline business unit partners across the organization and close collaboration commercial insights and analytics partners to ensure alignment on relevant business issues and priorities, along with consistency in reporting. External relationships include secondary data vendors and information technology developers.

Essential Functions

Data Mining / Analytics in support of market insights

Conducts hypothesis-driven investigations into detailed physician-level, patient-level and transactional-level data, to gain business insights from various customer perspectives (HCPs, patients, payers) independently or in collaboration with data partners. Work with large datasets to uncover market trends and opportunities. Interpret and contextualize analytical findings, leading to distinct and actionable business implications. May require utilizing tools beyond Excel, such as SQL, Python, R, or specialized data analysis software for in-depth analysis. Ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of data and output

Systematic Monitoring of Business and Market Trends and Development

Leads the development and refinement of timely, on-going analysis and reporting to concisely communicate relevant business issues through ad-hoc reporting or periodic market reporting. Identify business opportunities and problems that can be solved using data analysis. Pro-actively streamlining processes and deliverables based on business impact/needs. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to understand their data needs and objectives

Communicating insights to business partners

Translating data insights into actionable recommendations that drive strategic decision making. Effectively communicating insights and analysis to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Gathering feedback to further refine and enhance analytical output to best align with business needs

Physical Requirements

0-10% overnight travel required.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree from accredited institution required. Preferred master’s degree in business analytics, finance, engineering, data science, or related field. MBA, MSc or MPH preferred

5+ Years of relevant experience in sales analysis, forecasting, finance, pricing, or other related areas

Experience in pharmaceutical analytics preferred

Expertise with IMS data and other secondary industry sources is required

Strong knowledge of data analysis and visualization tools is required (Excel, SQL, Python, Tableau, Power BI, R, or similar)

Strong attention to detail, quality control and problem-solving using big data

General coding experience highly preferred

Experience in handling large data sets and relational databases

Strong PowerPoint and Excel skills

Innate intellectual curiosity demonstrated desire to take initiative, and ability to think creatively to solve complex problems

Outstanding team- and business partner facing communication skills. Strong project management skills
