What to Expect
The Manager, Operations Instructional Design is responsible for supporting the operations training team vision, strategy, and training plans for operations. The Manager, Operations Instructional Design supports continuous re[1]engineering within the training delivery platforms and drives innovation with a focus on leading-edge virtual and remote learning to effectively modernize the "way of work" and adhere to the community of learning plans. Additional responsibilities include end-to-end curriculum design, management and ensuring learning solutions/programs are engaging and aligned with the strategic goals of the organization. In addition, incumbents take a consultative approach to understanding business needs to develop training curriculum that aligns with business objectives and KPIs. All positions within the Operations Division are expected to collaborate cross-divisionally to achieve a seamless customer experience; this includes supporting other departments as necessary to meet the business need.
What You Will Do
1. Assess, develop, and execute learning strategies that build and improve performance and engagement across businesses and teams. Develop or tailor supplemental training materials, including learning plans, leader guides, participant guides, job aids, and multimedia presentations to build knowledge, skills, and capabilities. Apply learning theory/models that incorporate innovative methods of content delivery in the online, hybrid, web-enhanced, and face-to-face environments using appropriate technologies to deliver performance-based learning solutions that drive measurable, lasting impact. Ensure job specific learning aligns with policy, procedure, and business practices.
2. Analyze instructional problems and develop and implement potential solutions to these problems. Review courses during the design, development and delivery phases for sound adult learning and instructional design practices.
3. As needed, facilitate courses for managerial and professional audiences, including, but not limited to courses on leadership skills, team effectiveness, employee development and orientation.
4. Serve as an internal performance consultant, in collaboration with operations leaders, to identify performance and learning needs within HCA and implement solutions, as applicable. Implement change management strategies to support critical evolution of the business and achieve desired business results that are sustainable over time.
5. Support new hire training speed to proficiency goals through performance co-coaching with department supervisors post-new hire training 30-60-90 days.
6. Actively participate in coaching and development sessions/trainings to co[1]create solutions that enhance individual performance and overall department/team performance.
7. All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

• 5+ years of training experience in automotive finance industry with demonstrated understanding of the adult learning theory principles and capacity to deliver organizational learning activities.
