MUST :
8+ years of overall systems and networking experience
5+ solid years of network support experience
Experience overseeing and mentoring a team of at least 5 people
Experience with Fortinet firewall setup and administration
Experience with Palo Alto and Cisco firewall setup and administration
VPN setup and administration
Dell & Cisco Switch Setup and Administration
SolarWinds, PRTG, or Logic Monitor Knowledge
Experience with various systems tools to include: QoS, MPLS, VPLS, VLANS, Radius, BGP, OSPF, and TAGGING
Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal
Strong interpersonal skills to work with both piers and higher and lower-level members of the team
Able to provide high level customer service to clients
Highly analytical with strong attention to detail
Current CCNP certification (other relevant Networking certs may be considered)
DUTIES :
The ideal candidate will be one of the Leads supporting the Tier I and Tier II internal systems teams overseeing clients systems and network providing maintenance, administration, configuration, troubleshooting and servicing and systems and equipment
Assessing and prioritizing tasks, projects and demands to ensure customer satisfaction
Designs, Manages and monitors the operational activities of the data/voice/video network, including design, installation, configuration, maintenance, and security
Analyzes network functions and evaluates the services provided; develops plan of action and recommendations; identifies milestones and issues to be addressed, and generates reports as required
Provides technical leadership and assists in managing and supporting pod members, ensuring that support agents close tickets efficiently, enhance their technical knowledge, and adhere to established processes and procedures
Communicate with clients to ensure that processes and procedures are up-to-date and functioning efficiently, enabling support agents to accurately and effectively complete tickets
Monitors utilization trends, manages network performance, and assures maximum uptime; performs ongoing analysis, capacity planning, and technical tuning of the network systems to improve performance
Designs and monitors VMware infrastructure and united communications (UC) systems, DMZ and Networks
Designs, configures, deploys, and maintains network infrastructure components; troubleshoots network to diagnose system problems; identifies, locates, resolves, and repairs problems; installs and configures software upgrades, file sharing, and domain security protocols
Computer network domains, technologies, and protocols
Networked systems access and security guidelines and procedures
Network performance tuning techniques
Demonstrable knowledge of routing, switching, firewalls, Unified Collaboration and security technologies
Current trends and information sources for managing network systems
Project planning and management principles
System backup and recovery procedures and techniques
