ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Lead the maturation and continuous improvement of engineering processes, design standards and best practices to ensure repeatable high quality engineering products
- Develop training materials and conduct periodic training classes to ensure engineering staff gains knowledge and awareness
- Coordinate within broader(US and global) to ensure brand consistency
- Maintain engineering Sharepoint website for timely dissemination of content
- Define and maintain KPIs for engineering performance
- Create technical presentations for both internal and external customers
- Communicate status, results, and recovery plans (if needed) to senior and executive management
- Mentor and coach engineers to adopt best practices and foster a culture of learning and growth.
- Develop and maintain customer relationships
- Undertake other duties as determined by the CTO or his/her delegate
- 1- 3 Direct Reports
- BSc in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Systems) or a related field
- Minimum 10+ years of defense industry experience
- Experience in delivering large complex US Defense programs
- Previous experience with vehicle design, development, and manufacturing
- Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering and/or Digital Engineering
- Experience with requirements allocation and verification
- Experience in a technical leadership role of a multi-disciplined engineering team
- Experience organizing and leading technical reviews (SRRs, PDRs, CDRs, TIMs)
- Experience in preparing and delivering briefings to management and customers
- Experience in writing proposal tech volume, cost volume, and/or management volume
- Experience of working in a multi-national, multi-organizational and corporate environment.
- Familiarity with the US DoD ground vehicle requirements
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
- Open architecture software development or implementation
- Applied working knowledge with a proven track record of delivery from concept to series production
- Detailed knowledge of Military Standards and regulations.
- Active Secret Clearance, desired
- Experience in scaling engineering teams and processes in a fast-paced environment
