OCDE is seeking a knowledgeable and dedicated individual to serve as Manager, District Systems Support (Human Resources/ Payroll). The selected individual will lead the Human Resource/ Payroll support team responsible for application support services provided to Orange County school districts as well as the Orange County Department of Education. Application services include district human resources, payroll, time and attendance, and related services. This position will evaluate application implementations, provide management assistance, and analyze processes and services for school districts, community colleges, and the county office. The Manager, District Systems Support (Human Resources/Payroll) will provide consultation regarding the use and application of information systems. They will select, train, supervise, and evaluate assigned personnel. Other responsibilities will include strategic planning, identify resource needs, establish schedules, and methods for providing specialized services. Assist in the design, planning, and implementation of large-scale Human Resources/Payroll applications or systems. The person selected will also, coordinate/facilitate district advisory meetings and make presentations to districts staff. This role requires full-time, on-site presence. Remote or hybrid work options are not available.
