Overview:The primary responsibility of this role is to manage a team of data analysts in developing, implementing, and supporting data analytics within an assigned area of Fulton Bank. This role will analyze, model, and synthesize data from various sources into meaningful information the business can use for better decisions, to maximize output or outcomes, impact strategic direction, and improve data literacy within the area of the business the role supports.
*Hybrid flexibility in Lancaster, PA or remote work within the 5 state footprint (PA, MD, NJ, DE, VA) is available with travel required as needed to Lancaster, PA.
Responsibilities:- Consult and partner within assigned LOB Management, other stakeholders, and internal data teams to define key business questions and metrics/measurements needed for the line of business to assess performance, answer business questions, and impact overall strategic planning and growth.
- Coach other data analysts in how to source, compile, convert, organize, and transfer data from multiple, varied sources to use in various forms of analysis, modeling, or reporting.
- Apply techniques in quantitative analytics, statistical analysis, segmentation, and other forms of data analytics or modeling to convert raw data into meaningful information. Leverage these techniques and the information gleaned from data to address business questions from senior leaders and to drive or find new business opportunities.
- Apply descriptive and diagnostic analyses of first- and third-party data sets to provide insights and recommendations for products, processes, credit, sales, customer behavior, services, and other areas. Collaborate with line of business leadership to address findings and further mine data for meaningful information the business can use.
- Collaborate with IT and other internal data stakeholders to refine data structure, methodology, and tools, including robust reporting solutions; to gain appropriate access to required data, systems, and technology; to improve data quality, output accuracy, and systems; and for assistance with issue resolution as required.
- Apply broad, deep knowledge of LOB-specific systems, procedures, or workflows which are data-dependent and identify opportunities to improve data accuracy, quality, or workflow efficiency.
- Makes recommendations to and/or consults management team as a data subject matter expert, including during system enhancement reviews, consolidations/acquisitions, and other projects as needed.
- Provide consistent, timely, and accurate reporting and project management deliverables. Assist the assigned line of business on any initiatives with a focus on qualitative and quantitative data methods. May deploy Agile methodology or discovery phase project management on different data-related projects as needed.
- Plan, assign and evaluate the work of direct reports, screen and select candidates, provide guidance and coaching, establish individual goals and objectives, monitor volume, workflow and quality, manage performance to include conducting performance appraisals, make pay recommendations, and partner with Human Resources to resolve employment related issues.
Qualifications:
Education
Bachelor's Degree or the equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, Business, Mathematics, Data Science/Analytics, or other data-related discipline. (Required)
Master's Degree or the equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, Business, Mathematics, Data Science/Analytics, or other data-related discipline. (Preferred)
Experience
- 7 or more years data analysis or data engineering, including the utilization of statistical analysis and data integration tools. (Required)
- 1 or more years managing a team of direct reports. (Required)
- 3 or more years utilizing data analytics in support of a business function and to address business-specific questions. (Required)
- 2 or more years SAS, JAVA, C++, Python or similar programs. (Preferred)
- 3 or more years financial, bank, or lending data analysis. (Preferred)
Certifications
Associate Certified Analytics Professional (aCAP). (Preferred)
SAS certification. (Preferred)

Pay Transparency:To provide greater transparency to candidates, we share base salary ranges on all job postings regardless of state. We set standard salary ranges for our roles based on the position, function, and responsibilities, as benchmarked against similarly sized companies in our industry. Specific compensation offered will be determined based on a combination of factors including the candidate’s knowledge, skills, depth of work experience, and relevant licenses/credentials. The salary range may vary based on geographic location.
The salary range for this position is $94,200.00 - $157,000.00 annually.
Additional Compensation Components
This job is eligible to receive equity in the form of restricted stock units. This job is eligible to participate in a short-term incentive compensation plan subject to individual and company performance.
