Unified Mammography Services is seeking a Mammography Assistant for its Mammography office at a practice in Peoria, AZ.
The Mammography Assistant performs clerical and general administrative duties in order to assist the Mammography Technologist in day to day operations of the Mammography Department. Must have good knowledge and understanding of mammography reporting and general medical terminology. Must be able to work independently without supervision, and have excellent problem-solving skills. Ensures a high level of quality and service is delivered to all organizational customers.

Work schedule: Monday - Thursday 7 am - 4:30 pm, Friday 8 am -12 pm
Responsibilities
- Reviews all mammography reports daily/Scrubbing of schedule
- Process outside CD Images into PACS/Powershare
- Complete Patient Information Requirements and history
- Interact with Radiologist and Technologist regarding mammography patients and reports for QA
- Data entry of Bi-rads codes
- Obtain release for prior records and follow up of such
- Answer Calls and Questions about Mammography Services
Additional Job Functions:
• All other job requests as assigned by Director of Imaging Operations or Care Center Administrator
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1-year experience in radiology or medical office experience preferred.
- Must be able to demonstrate competency in the operation of the Care Centers computer system, PACS system, and image copiers.
- Must display a high level of professionalism in communication and job performance to effectively assist Radiologist, Technologist, and patients.
- Interpersonal skills are necessary in order to effectively interact with physicians, other facility staff, patients, and families when providing instructions or responding to questions, or exchanging patient-related information.
- Analytical skills are also necessary in order to review mammography reports for accuracy and quality and verify patient information.
- General knowledge of medical terminology is required.
- Requires the ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail when reviewing mammographic reports.
- Must also complete necessary medical records information to include consents, billing charges, and monitor supply levels.
