Overview
A Maintenance Trade Helper plays a pivotal role in supporting skilled tradespeople and technicians to ensure the efficient operation, maintenance, and safety of facilities. This position requires a strong focus on routine maintenance, adherence to safety protocols, COVID-19 sanitation responsibilities, flexibility, independent work, and excellent customer service skills.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, emphasizing cleaning and upkeep of facilities.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a secure work environment.
- Report any safety hazards or concerns to supervisors promptly.
- Implement and maintain COVID-19 sanitation measures following established guidelines.
- Conduct regular disinfection of common areas and high-touch surfaces.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, inspections, and COVID-19 sanitation efforts for future reference.
- Support maintenance and renovation projects by following instructions, which may include tasks such as material handling, work area setup, cleanup, and additional COVID-19 safety measures as needed.
- Operate hand and power tools, as well as machinery, under supervision and as required for job tasks.
- Adapt to changing work demands and take on new tasks and responsibilities as they arise.
- Demonstrate self-motivation and problem-solving skills when performing duties independently.
- Interact professionally, courteously, and helpfully with building occupants and fellow employees, ensuring a positive and helpful atmosphere.
