Job Summary:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of the facility and production equipment by performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs. This role involves diagnosing equipment issues, implementing corrective actions, and maintaining accurate maintenance records to minimize downtime and optimize production processes.

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Performs preventive maintenance tasks on production equipment and machinery according to established schedules and procedures.
- Inspects, lubricates, and adjusts machinery components to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Diagnoses equipment malfunctions and performs troubleshooting to identify root causes of issues.
- Conducts repairs or replacements of faulty components, such as motors, sensors, belts, and bearings, to restore equipment functionality.
- Adheres to safety protocols and procedures when performing maintenance activities to ensure a safe working environment.
- Responds promptly to equipment breakdowns or malfunctions to minimize production downtime.
- Works collaboratively with the production department to resolve urgent maintenance issues efficiently.
- Maintains accurate records of equipment maintenance activities, including work orders, inspection reports, and parts inventory.
- Documents equipment repairs, replacements, and upgrades to track maintenance history and identify recurring issues.
- Identifies opportunities for process improvement and equipment optimization to enhance productivity and efficiency.
- Recommends upgrades or modifications to production equipment to improve reliability and performance.
- Designs and maintains preventative maintenance programs and/or SOPs for all machinery & equipment.
- Operates warehouse equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks, safely and efficiently.
- Fix/repair/or manage repair with vendors for all equipment as needed
- Sources change parts for equipment as needed
- Assists with facility maintenance, repairs, and installations as needed
- Manages and organizes company tools.
- Assists with sourcing decisions for new tools as needed.
- Maintains and trains employees on:
- Forklift operation
- Interface with company inventory management software
- Travels as needed.
- Participates in equipment training as needed.
- Communicates with machine suppliers regarding maintenance schedules, procedures, repairs, replacement parts, etc.
- Evening or weekend shifts as needed.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and perform physical tasks in a warehouse environment.
- Basic math and computer skills for inventory management and order processing.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in performing tasks.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification may be required.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (technical certification or associate degree preferred).
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Familiarity with electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices and techniques.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods standing and walking.
- Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend, or crawl into awkward spaces.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
- Must be able to navigate various departments of the organization's physical premises.
