Who We're Looking For:
At the Home Improvement Group, we owe our success to the dedication of our team. To help maintain and grow this standard, we're seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician.
We are looking for a self-motivated and technically adept Maintenance Technician to perform preventative, corrective, improvement, and project maintenance.
What you'll do:
*Performs a wide variety of analyses/observation and troubleshooting of malfunctioning machines, equipment and systems (electrical (low-voltage), hydraulic, pneumatic, plumbing, etc.) in operation to locate and determine causes of trouble; initiates inspection, adjustments, repairs, replacement and modifications as required;
*Installs special low-voltage electrical, functional and structural parts in devices;
*Lubricates and cleans parts;
*Starts up machines and equipment and may initially assist operator test function and performance;
*Measures, cuts, threads, installs and replaces a wide variety of hard and soft pipe, tubing and related throughout the facility;
*Fabricates parts and equipment; performs welding depending on circumstance and capability;
*Assists or specifically performs installation of new and relocating operational equipment, support equipment and devices; troubleshoots to assure operational integrity; may perform low-voltage electrical tie-in
*Assures work in progress and final product meets quality specifications; performs quality checks as required by the position; informs chain of command of issues;
*Follows safety requirements for the facility, warehouse and specific position including wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE); follows all forklift safety requirements; follows environmental and hazardous waste disposal procedures;
*Participates in process improvements, housekeeping and 5S within assigned area and/or within the facility as required or allowed by management;
*Performs a wide variety of additional skilled to semi-skilled related activities depending on specific needs, assignment, requirements, capability and knowledge to include plumbing, welding, cutting, painting, small engine repair, carpentry, construction, tear down and etc.;
*Change dies in presses and clean as needed;
*Troubleshoots dies to keep production running;
*Operates computer to use ERP, Maintenance systems, and others;
*Performs routine quality checks;
*Sets-up materials to run;
*Performs changeovers;
*Performs facility maintenance including but not limited to plumbing, painting, tree trimming, fan maintenance, and low-voltage electrical maintenance;
*Creates, sustains, and leads equipment and facility preventative maintenance;
*Maintains all equipment for the business;
*May perform production and/or warehouse work during peak production periods or maintenance down-time, including operating forklifts and/or combi-lifts;
*Works with outside vendors for projects such as for high voltage electrical work, machinery vendors, and others, as needed;
*Other duties as assigned
What We need:
Education/experience:
- Experience: At least 2 years of manufacturing maintenance experience
- Education: At least 1 years of technical school or related
