Overview :
The Maintenance Technician I will support efficient, safe production by maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment. This role includes a leadership component, training maintenance and production personnel on proper equipment use and safety standards.
Shift : Sun-Thurs 9pm-5:30am
Key Responsibilities :
+ Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, PLC, pneumatic, and electronic systems to ensure equipment efficiency.
+ Lead and train Maintenance I Technicians and provide indirect support to Production personnel.
+ Order and manage spare parts inventory, ensuring minimal downtime.
+ Collaborate closely with Production Leads, Supervisors, and Maintenance staff.
+ Perform emergency and scheduled repairs on plant utilities and equipment, including facilities systems like HVAC, chillers, and boilers.
+ Install new equipment, perform machinery setup, and make running adjustments for production.
+ Diagnose, prioritize, and resolve equipment issues during production, focusing on minimizing downtime.
+ Adhere to FDA/cGMP standards and complete required annual certifications.
Requirements :
+ Experience with gearboxes, PLCs, hydraulics, pneumatics, and conveyors.
+ Preventative maintenance expertise and ability to read blueprints and schematics.
+ Industry experience in pharma, food manufacturing, nutraceutical, or biotech (no residential maintenance experience).
+ Low voltage experience (240-480V) preferred.
+ Familiarity with FDA/cGMP environments.
Additional Notes :
+ Must be available for on-call shifts and occasional 6-7 day workweeks as required.
