Maintenance Technician - Spherion

Spherion is seeking a talented/driven maintenance technician to join our client's team in Fostoria, OH! The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain glass and metal working production as well as facilities maintenance. This position requires a flexible person who possesses the ability to relate to employees at all levels. As unique situations arise, the selected candidate must be sensitive to internal customer needs, corporate goals, and company reputation. The selected candidate will report to the Maintenance and Engineering Manager.

Responsibilities:
Follow all established safety practices and policies and ensure all safety practices and policies are followed.
Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility?s equipment.
Providing emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment, possibly involving time outside normal working hours.
Perform mechanical skills including, but not limited to mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting.
Detect faulty operations, defective material, and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
Work with 277/480 VAC.
Diagnose problems, replace and repair parts, test and make adjustments.

Working hours: 8:00 PM - 6:00 AM

Experience:
1-4 years

Qualifications:
Excellent Problem solving skills
Excellent math skills
4+ years of manufacturing experience in industrial electric, hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and other industrial trades with PLC experience and HVAC.
Demonstrate ethical conduct.
Able to communicate effectively with all levels of employment.
Possess the ability to be organized and follow detailed instructions.
Demonstrate the ability to work with limited supervision.
Able to work overtime as needed.
Demonstrate the ability to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
