How you make a difference:
The Environmental Services Work Leader leads a team of housekeepers in providing day-to-day environmental services, including general cleaning and laundry work, under the direction of the Maintenance & Plant Operations Manager. They ensure a safe, clean and structured environment for clients and employees, while adhering to cost estimates and timelines for efficiency of projects and department overall. Additionally, they oversee compliance with department protocols, policies, guidelines, and facility standards, and perform the work of employees and other duties as required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assists with the professional and technical development of staff by answering questions, demonstrating proper work methods, and providing training.
- Oversees and participates in ensuring a clean and sanitary environment in all common areas, follows safety procedures for handling and cleaning materials, and maintains facility supplies.
- Coordinates department personnel and day-to-day activities, checks work progress, and reports to supervisors on status and progress of work.
- Performs maintenance tasks such as operating and repairing equipment, relocating parcel deliveries, performing routine inspections and repairs of facilities, and maintaining power equipment and hand tools.
- Conducts training sessions to update, improve, or upgrade the knowledge and skills of others.
Qualifications & Requirements:
TEducation
- Graduation from High School or GED.
Experience
- Three(3)years’ experience in general housekeeping or other environmental that has provided the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to perform satisfactorily the duties of the position may be considered;Formal training in related fields will substitute on a year-for year basis
Licenses/Certifications
- Possession of a valid driver’s license as the position may require driving company vehicles. (Required)
- Two(2)years of increasingly responsible facility Environmental Services experience to include lead or supervisory responsibilities.(Preferred)
- Bilingual (Preferred)
