Maintenance Superintendent responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Primary Responsibility:
The Plant Maintenance Superintendent has the overall responsibility of ensuring that the Maintenance department follows the facility maintenance plan as well as having the responsibility for executing a program of continual growth and development for the maintenance team. Periodic review of the skills matrix and crewing report with the supervisors will determine if the plan is effective.
Key Roles and Responsibilities for the Maintenance Superintendent:
The superintendent is responsible for maintaining a maintenance crew that is cross trained and able to step into different roles to ensure personnel changes do not impact production needs. A plan of continued growth for Supervisors and Techs will be measured by safety performance, efficiency, machine uptime, and compliance to corporate and community guidelines
The Superintendent will work closely with the Scheduler/Planner and Production to maximize the effectiveness of projects and PM’s. The Superintendent will communicate daily with the Plant Engineer to discuss matters and take direction
Any other duties associated with the above duties as assigned by Plant Engineer
This is a safety sensitive position. This is an on-site position.
Qualified candidates for the Maintenance Superintendent position should possess the following:
- Fully knowledgeable of all safety procedures and rules pertaining to Maintenance and Environmental
- Experience of all aspects of both departments
- Basic math skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- 4 years of experience in an industrial maintenance setting
- Ability to test chemical systems
- Ability to create meaningful PM’s with detail
- 2 years of leadership experience
