As a key part of our team, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating the maintenance of our tools, equipment, and mechanical systems to ensure optimum efficiency and safety. This role requires a deep understanding of the construction industry, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage complex logistical challenges. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role and a proven track record of success.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Planner for a permanent position within our dynamic construction company. As a key part of our team, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating the maintenance of our tools, equipment, and mechanical systems to ensure optimum efficiency and safety. This role requires a deep understanding of the construction industry, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage complex logistical challenges. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role and a proven track record of success.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement maintenance strategies, procedures, and methods.
- Conduct routine inspections and audits of tools, equipment, and mechanical systems to identify and resolve issues.
- Plan and schedule maintenance work based on priority and resources, ensuring minimal impact on our construction projects.
- Coordinate with the procurement team for the timely availability of parts and tools needed for maintenance activities.
- Prepare and present reports on maintenance activities and equipment status to management.
- Collaborate with other team members to improve the process and efficiency of maintenance operations.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Monitor inventory of supplies and equipment parts, and initiate reordering when necessary.
- Train maintenance staff on new procedures and protocols to enhance their skills and understanding.
- Predict potential maintenance issues before they occur, using data analysis and predictive maintenance tools.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in maintenance planning within the construction industry.
- Technical knowledge of construction tools, equipment, and mechanical maintenance.
- Proficiency in using maintenance planning software and other related computer applications.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and procedures in the construction industry.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong organizational and planning skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to train and mentor staff.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
- Professional certification in Maintenance Management or a related field would be an advantage.
