Job Description
The Maximo Planner coordinates with the Capacity Assurance Coordinators (CAC) and constantly work in Maximo to organize scheduled work - preventive and predictive maintenance, repairs and projects.
The Maximo Scheduling coordinator collaborates with site operational staff to validate requirements, set priorities, adapt schedules and align resources. They balance demand work across the site with priorities for scheduled maintenance of critical facilities and systems and capital and maintenance projects. The Maximo Scheduling Coordinator communicates with Facility Representatives and customers on the prioritization, status and aging of pending work requests. They define work tasks and sequencing, set priorities and administer back-log to enable Facility Managers to efficiently assign tasking to Skilled Trade and sub-contracted workforce. They also track resource utilization, productivity and performance using Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to set priorities and ad-minister backlog to enable Facility Managers to efficiently assign tasking to Skilled Trade and sub-contracted workforce.
Job Responsibilities
- Know and uphold company policies, procedures and Service Agreement with GM-GTC to allow customers and tenants to focus on their core business. Take ownership of campus wide facilities, infrastructure and grounds, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance facility performance, operating effectiveness and cost efficiency.
- Engage with Facility Managers and CACs to balance work requirements with available skills. Apply Quality Network Planned Maintenance (QNPM) processes to raise operational reliability and asset life, and thereby reduce unscheduled downtime, break-downs and avoidable customer complaints/requests:
- Receive work orders from CACs and fully estimate the work requirements, standards and priorities, and the resources necessary to fulfill them
- Dispatch work orders to Facility Managers to direct the work in accordance with site standards and contract requirements and KPI for performance and customer satisfaction. Give direction to UAW trades as appropriate.
- Track breakdown and repair incidents and costs and work with CACs to adjust maintenance activities and schedules to improve uptime, effectiveness and asset life.
- Using Quality Network Planned Maintenance (QNPM) processes, track breakdown and repair incidents and costs, and adjust maintenance priorities, activities and schedules to improve asset uptime, effectiveness and longevity.
- Audit work order processes and work histories to identify opportunities to improve data integrity, and baseline parameters for work planning, estimating, scheduling and reporting. Review planned vs. actual work performance with FSZ for potential process improvements for scheduling and coordination.
- Monitor status and completion rates and work-order ageing. Support FSZ in resolving open items, reassignment or escalation and ensure customers are informed of outcomes and roadblocks. Ensure that the scheduling of urgent work does not impair operational reliability through unintended consequences.
Short Description
- Coordinate with Work Control Center to receive and dispatch work requests, monitor backlog, urgency, work requestaccuracy, and the effective use of IWMS/CMMS (Maximo).
- Support Facility Supervisors resolving scope discrepancies, scheduling conflicts, labor issues (trade jurisdiction,seniority, etc.), business disruptions, project escalation, customer complaints etc.
- Compile data for Facility Supervisors to track customer satisfaction, overall equipment effectiveness (OEE), and KeyPerformance Indicators (KPI's) for productivity (call frequencies, call-backs), process improvements, energy savings, cost reductions and similar "best practice" quality initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Technical Associate's Degree in Engineering, Facility Management, Construction Management or related curriculum or equivalent experience.
- Certification by recognized professional bodies preferred (IFMA, SMRP, AFE etc.) or Skilled Trades license. Coursework indicating advanced professional development.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of relevant technical experience as Maintenance Supervisor, Planner/Scheduler. Knowledge of integrated facility operations and systems maintenance in engineering/research or manufacturing environment, with significant responsibility for customer relations. Familiarity with OSHA/EPA requirements.
- Experience and proficiency with IWMS/CMMS in large scale, technical operations and all aspects of process design, system administration and user training and development.
- Administrative experience related to operations management, including budgeting, staff supervision, safety, work planning, scheduling and logistics.
