Shift - Monday to Friday, Day Shift, OT/On-call as needed
What this job involves - The Mechanic Mechanic is involved in the performing both preventative maintenance and corrective maintenance on multiple plumbing and piping systems. This position requires a high level of technical expertise with a variety of building infrastructure. Involved in campus' repairs, protects and beautifies various interior and exterior surfaces and various components of the physical structure of building in client facility providing painting and Carpentry work. Technician will be performing both preventative maintenance and corrective maintenance on multiple interior and exterior surfaces. The position may be called upon to perform other general maintenance and support duties on an as-needed basis.
What is the day to day?
- Support carpentry tasks such as installing doors, hardware, furniture, fabricating partition walls, crating and other related work.
- Perform rigging/moving of equipment.
- Prepare, prime and paint repair building interior and exterior surfaces
- Inspects various damaged surfaces (e.g., plaster, drywall, water-damaged areas, ceiling and wall cracks) for remodeling.
- Uses various wall covering techniques and remedies to complete project.
- Maintain and repair locks, locking mechanisms, closers, doors, and controllers
- Occasionally support the repair plumbing components including toilets, urinals, lavatories, flush valves, water fountains, sinks, drains, water heaters, piping, and sump pumps
- Provide all other building maintenance, repair, and restorative procedures as directed
- Perform general Carpentry tasks to maintain buildings
- Repair/Replace/Installceiling tiles, carpet tiles, floor tile, Formica, masonry work and associated activities.
- Perform emergency roofing repairs, clear roof drains and clear debris:
- Patch and paint office, outside and controlled work environments.
- General building needs not limited to blinds, cabinets, counters, shelves,
- Assist the operations team in the maintenance and repair of building and equipment
- Completes other various duties related to Painting, Carpentry, Flooring, Cabinetry, and related tasks, under the direction of the supervisor and/or his/her designee.
- General office maintenance – hang pictures, install keyboard trays, and repair office furniture systems
- Electrical/mechanicalaptitude a plus. Knowledge of office furniture a plus.
- Machine room and area inspections
- Completes special tasks that include painting, locksmith work, tenant services requests, special cleaning, and general maintenance as assigned.
- Respond to urgent requests as directed
- Performs additional duties as requested.
Desired experience and technical skills -
Required
- 3+ years' experience in facilities building maintenance
- Basic knowledge regarding maintenance on drop ceilings, industrial door and window repair, drywall, light concrete and carpenter skills
- Mechanical aptitude with ability to use hand and power tools
- Willingness to learn!
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Must hold a Valid Driver’s license
Preferred
- Experience completing facilities maintenance in commercial or industrial environment
- Experience in controlled working environments

Estimated total compensation for this position:
38,480.00 – 43,680.00 USD per yearThe total compensation range is an estimate and not guaranteed. An employment offer is based on an applicant's education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity and alignment with market data.
