Thompson First Group is currently seeking a qualified Maintenance Technician for a local client in Middlefield, OH. Candidates who have a background working as a Maintenance Mechanic in an industrial setting are encouraged to apply.
Job Summary:
- Proven ability to perform normal maintenance repairs on factory equipment
- Have mechanical ability to dismantle and reassemble any piece of equipment used in the plant, to troubleshoot, diagnose, and make necessary repairs (to include air compressors, mobile equipment and production equipment).
- Ability to read electrical schematic diagrams.
- Ability to troubleshoot, work with and repair motors, motor starters, contactor, relays, distribution and panel wiring of AC and DC (low and medium volt) up to 4160 volts and use electrical test equipment.
- Must have working knowledge of PLC, controls, circuit, logics, and electronic drives.
- Must have the ability to weld and cut with acetylene equipment, arc weld carbon and stainless steel in the horizontal, vertical and overhead positions and do soldering, silver soldering and brazing.
- Must be willing and able to perform a wide variety of other maintenance functions such as plumbing, painting, cleaning of equipment, lubrication, PM, fork Lift operation, HVAC repairs, roof repairs, etc.
- Must be able to read, plan work from instructions, sketches and prints.
- Must be willing and physically able to safely work from ladders, in awkward positions and at heights.
- Fill out work, PM forms and charts as needed.

Experience
- Minimum high school diploma with 5 years plus experience working in a manufacturing facility as a multi-craft maintenance mechanic and/or electrical
