* ! JOB SUMMARY:
The Maintenance Instructor is responsible for the preparation and conducting training for customers in accordance with the approved syllabi/training program.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Serves as subject matter expert in the development and revision of training publications and materials and keep same up-to-date and current; assist in completing and revising syllabi.Prepare classroom and set up training materials prior to scheduled class start time. Setup may include unpacking classroom computer equipment/projectors, setting up computer equipment/ projectors, and adjusting/troubleshooting computer equipment/ projectors.Self-study as required to prepare and deliver all maintenance training that is technically correct and in accordance with applicable regulations, guidelines and quality policies and procedures. Must be able to follow and interpret wiring and mechanical diagrams and schematics.Conduct classroom, practical and on-the-job training with customers for the purpose of developing and maintaining a high degree of professionalism and proficiency.Provide instruction specific to the technician requirements according to the course curriculum.Adhere to all aircraft maintenance and shop safety procedures and requirements at all times.Provide day-to-day supervision over students attending a scheduled class.Measure training progress of students within the established curriculum, utilizing objective and subjective methods.Council students on their progress through the course and determine viable solutions to improve their performance as required.Report to the supervisor responsible for training any student training problems (poor performance, Customer/Instructor conflicts, excessive tardiness, etc.) that raise concerns over student's ability to successfully complete the course.Accurately complete all required reports and student training records in a timely manner.

* ! EDUCATION:
High school diploma or Certificate of General Educational Development (G.E.D.) requiredFAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) required EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of eight (8) years total experience as an aircraft/engine mechanic required.
Five (5) year experience performing maintenance on Textron Aviation aircraft is desiredTwo (2) years formal classroom teaching experience or public speaking experience desired.
The successful candidate for a technical instructor should hold a FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) technician certificate, FCC License or equivalent military certifications and training.Valid driver's license, where applicable.US Passport (ability to obtain one)Experience working with DOD agencies and foreign military services desired.

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently must supervise others while working near moving mechanical parts, in high, precarious places, outside weather conditions, occasional wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme cold, extreme heat, risk of electrical shock, risk of radiation, and vibration.While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently must supervise others while working in high tempo flight operations environment with high noise levels.
